Our tour operates yearly every Friday and Saturday afternoon. Estimated time would be approx. 13:00 - 17:30 p.m. However, weekday itineraries can be arranged upon request. Recommended tour season is from May to September but you can taste wine all year around! We will visit a couple of "Weingut"- "boutique" wineries owned and operated by local families and taste various wines which are seldom seen outside of Germany. We can also stop by a viewpoint overlooking a area. Because we are flexible, we can create unique itineraries depending on your requests. Our half day tour is 89 Euro/ person (for 2 people) We accept max. 4 people at one tour.

We are a happy German-Japanese couple living in Würzburg. We love wine and have a passion to introduce top quality, unique wine from our local area to our guests. We want to share our knowledge about Franconian wine. With many different kinds of winery combinations to choose from in our private tour, you won't be disappointed. We use our own car for the tour, therefore we recommend this for a couple, friends or family traveling in groups of two to four. Wine Tasting Gateway Würzburg

 

Würzburg is a city in the north part of Bavaria in Germany, and it's a scenic gateway town for the Franconian wine villages. Würzburg is known for lavish baroque and rococo architecture such as Würzburger Residenz palace - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can reach Würzburg in approx. one hour by ICE (Intercity Express train) from Frankfurt. Our wine tasting tour starts from Würzburg, where we can pick up at your accommodation or arrange a tour starting from Würzburg train station. Our tour is mainly focused on wine tasting, therefore if you are wine lovers this tour is perfect for you!
